Spread out over two sides, Dream Rooms is a immersive listen, ambience that\u2019s frigid but not dark; a cold morning in the valleys. Recorded with a vintage EKO Ranger guitar from the early 1970s, loops eXtend to infinity, echoing into the distance and melting into themselves, over and over again. There\u2019s not much manipulation, sounds are left alone to slowly evolve and develop organically. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diviso in due dilatati movimenti, \u201cDream Rooms\u201d costruisce un\u2019immaginifica traversata tra visioni allucinate che si susseguono placide senza soluzione di continuit\u00e0, generate dal languido fluire di trasfigurate frequenze chitarristiche espanse fino a divenire bordone finemente modulato. Un incedere saturo di reiterazioni che si stratificano disegnando un territorio algido pervaso da una luminosit\u00e0 opaca incapace di infondere calore, un denso flusso in costante, minimale mutazione che disegna una vaporosa traiettoria colma di un costante senso di sospensione, priva di un reale punto d\u2019origine e una meta precisa.
Un vagare attonito lungo il debole confine che separa la realt\u00e0 dal sogno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ad una drone ambient di stampo ipnoticamente immersivo sono incentrate anche queste nuove “stanze per sogni”, registrate nel settembre 2015 e masterizzate tre anni dopo: scompaiono i synth dei precedenti lavori e restano solo lente stratificazioni di loop da suoni prodotti con una chitarra acustica Eko Ranger dei ’70, manipolazioni “organiche” di arpeggi minimali (pi\u00f9 qualche etereo vocalizzo) che nella suggestione di echi e sfasamenti cangianti danno forma ad atmosfere tutt’altro che oscure. Le sette sezioni, sfumate una nell’altra, suscitano piuttosto sensazioni estatiche e meditative, evocando il lirismo del Gavin Bryars pi\u00f9 intimista e la ricerca delle radici di una “eternal music” distante dalla genericit\u00e0 epidermica di tanta drone ambient. Dal milanese AC studio ancora un’opera destinata a dare vita nel tempo ad un piccolo culto.
